Focusing on the Columbia GSB Executive MBA

The Executive MBA encompasses all the necessary requirements for any directive position in a company. The overall goal is to improve and expand upon the managerial skills of the participating professionals. In this regard the Columbia Business School is a pioneer  in the field of EMBA courses for seasoned professionals whose careers reflect success and leadership potential.

This course is meant to expand a student’s business knowledge within the acumen of their current career track. The school has a reputation for improving its executive education lessons each year, usually by adding three to four new courses. In recent years, Columbia has introduced six new courses out of which four focus on corporate innovation.

To understand Columbia’s motto of big picture business and entrepreneurial dreams we have listed a few highlights of the principles they have embraced .

Proficient Curriculum

Students gain a cohesive view of leadership, global business insights and digital business strategies. Captivating lectures, case studies and academic and specialist perspectives are essential elements that envelop the course which ensure the all-round development of students.

Capstone Project

Students are expected to combine theory and practice by working on a Group Project, where they apply the classroom learning to real–world business challenges guided by the expertise of a Columbia faculty member and coach. To name a few:

  • Mastering Corporate Entrepreneurship is an online program taught in three parts, that can be studied individually or in succession. It covers the three biggest challenges for corporate entrepreneurs: ideation, incubation and acceleration.
  • From Idea to Prototype in Five Days is a course on engineering, design, and business. It aims to teach executives the process of rapid prototyping so they can replicate it within their companies. It is premised on The Design Sprint from Google Ventures.
  • Design Your Innovation Blueprint: Leveraging Systematic Inventive Thinking is a three-day program in which contestants learn to plan, develop and implement self-sustaining innovation.
  • Innovate on Demand, also an online course, is meant for participants at all levels. It is structured to provide tools to generate and implement the ideas of participants quickly.
