Could you please tell us something about yourself?
My name is Diane Wittmeyer, and I am 22 years old. I am a French business student. I have just graduated from a bachelor's program at ESSEC Business School in business and administration. I had several professional experiences during this program. I am pursuing my subsequent studies at Bocconi University with a master's in international management.
Did you consider any other school too? How did you decide that?
So, during my bachelor's program, I quickly realised that I'd get a master's degree afterwards because the courses at ESSEC's bachelor only gave broad experience. I felt that I needed to have specific knowledge about the particular area, job and sector, so I thought I would do another master's degree.
Is there any particular reason for you choosing a MIM and not an MBA?
No specific reason. I thought that an MBA requires years of experience, and that people would be older than me, so I was more comfortable with a MIM program and found it more fitting for my future objectives.
What other schools did you consider while you were applying?
I considered schools that are not in France for several reasons. The first is that I want to experience different cultures and work abroad. I thought it would be good to get my master's degree in the country where I want to work, so these were my reasons. I have applied to ESSEC, London Business Schools, and a few more.
What advice would you give to future applicants?
have a few things to convey. The first is to know what you want, what is your target, and why are you doing this. It takes a lot of time and effort, and if you lose sight, you might give up. Trust your potential and make your dream come true. I would also say to take help from professionals like Dr Hubert because it isn't easy.
