My name is Apoorv and I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. I interned with the Power Grid Corporation of India before joining Philips Lighting as an Assistant Manager. I have also completed the Green. Let certification in Lean Six Sigma.

My story is the traditional one: that of an engineer who had the best technical education graduating from one of the best colleges in India and getting into an engineering job. Soon enough I realized that if I wanted to get into key management positions with decision-making powers I’d need to upgrade my education to that level. Even though I was working for an international company, Philips, I knew that it would be a long time before I would get the kind of international exposure that I wanted in my job. As such I decided that an MBA would be the best foot forward in my career.

Being fluent in English and having good mathematical skills, I reached 780 after just three months of class. I am very thankful to Dr. Hubert Silly and his team at the MBA Center who helped me in preparing for my GMAT. It is essential for Indian students to get a good score as you are competing against a lot of your compatriots in the GMAT. The application process was more complicated as I am someone who is not very comfortable writing and talking about myself. It was difficult to talk about my experiences and their value to me in the essays while making it stand out. Finding the right words to put them don was a tough task and thanks to Dr. Hubert Silly, I managed to do so just right.

As one of the most prominent names amongst schools, Yale definitely lives up to the hype. There is so much to do and so little time to do so. Located just 90 minutes away from New York, the campus is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and shops all around. To help international students Yale offers a variety of resources like freshmen counselors, international peer liaisons, Office of International Students and Scholars, etc. As an international student myself, I found that the professors and classmates appreciated us for our unique perspectives and experiences.

First of all, I’d suggest that you find the right fit for yourself. A lot of Indian students know that the application process is very competitive for them and they tend to apply to as many schools as possible and accept any school that will have them. The reason I chose Yale was that, apart from being one of the most well-known schools in the world, they also gave me a sizeable scholarship which showed that the school really believed in me. This is how I realized that Yale would be the best place for me as I looked towards learning and career growth.

In the process of my admission, I was helped a lot by Dr. Hubert Silly and MBA Center. They guided me through the admission process and also helped me with the GMAT. Their services have been exemplary and they have been the best support system for me. I cannot thank Dr. Hubert Silly and his team enough for all their services to me and I recommend everyone else who wants to apply for an MBA to look up Dr. Hubert Silly and his MBA Center team.
