Study Plan

How long does ACT preparation take?

Most students prepare over two to three months alongside school and book two sittings, so a retake still reaches universities before their deadlines. A typical plan with MBA Center:

Diagnostic test

Set a baseline for English, Math and Reading, and decide whether Science is worth adding for STEM programmes.

Weeks 1–4

Grammar and usage, algebra to trigonometry, and reading passage types.

Weeks 5–8

Timed sections at the new pacing, and Science data questions if you take it.

Weeks 9–12

Full-length computer-based mock tests, error logs reviewed with your tutor.

Test day and retake

Name your four free score-report colleges at registration.

Stanford, Brown, Cornell and Bocconi all accept either test. In our experience, students who read fast and prefer a fixed, non-adaptive set of questions often choose the ACT. See our SAT preparation.
