The College Board developed the SAT exam in 1926 as a way to measure a student’s aptitude for a college career. Originally a 2400 point exam, the SAT became a 1600 point multiple choice exam with a bonus Essay opportunity in 2016. Achieving a 1600 SAT Score is the absolute perfect score, an average SAT score for most students is 1051. However, business schools require a better than average score on SAT exams.
