The IE Global Admissions Test (ieGAT) is the exclusive admissions exam for the IE International University (IEU), including the IE Business School in Spain. 

The IE University created this test to assess a candidate's capability to make management style decisions in various scenarios and difficulties. This exam differs from other standardized assessments in several ways listed in the below section:

• IE Global Admission Test is a practical exam rather than an academic exam, and participants will be exposed to more real-life scenarios.

Requirements and recommendations prior to the exam: The total time estimated is 2 hours, including preparation and the personality test.

• Candidates must show proof of identification.

ieGAT Exam pattern 

The ieGAT is divided into three categories of tasks: verbal, numerical, and diagrammatical. Questions are distributed at random throughout the exam, pushing participants to move from one train of thought to another quickly.

1. Understanding and reasoning: This element consists of a text box that the participant must read and comprehend. Two text-related questions follow each text field. This exam section assesses participants' understanding of written English in a professional setting.

1. Understanding, reasoning, and calculating: This section includes graphs and data analysis. There is no need for advanced maths. Instead, participants must think rapidly, process enormous volumes of information, and do quick computations.

1. Abstract logical thinking with symbols: Participants in this section take on a pre-set shape through a series of adjustments.

Participants will go over six practice questions having 2 of each category with an IE representative before the exam. This examination lasts 80 minutes.
