Study Plan

How long does GMAT preparation take?

GMAC says some candidates are ready in as little as six weeks with official materials. In our experience, most professionals preparing alongside a full-time job need two to three months. A typical plan with MBA Center looks like this:

Diagnostic test

Set your baseline score and target.

Weeks 1–4

Core concepts in Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights, in class or one-to-one.

Weeks 5–8

Timed practice by question type, with error logs reviewed by your teacher.

Weeks 9–12

Full-length mock tests under exam conditions, then targeted revision.

Test day and retake plan

Book your test early; if you need a retake, the 16-day rule means planning it into your application calendar.

Target Scores

What GMAT score do European business schools expect?

There is rarely a fixed minimum. INSEAD, for example, publishes no minimum score, and HEC Paris accepts the GMAT, GRE or Executive Assessment. Schools read your score alongside your experience, essays and interviews, but a score in or above a school’s published class range makes the rest of your application easier to judge. How long should I prepare for the GMAT?

Most professionals preparing alongside a full-time job need two to three months. GMAC says some candidates are ready in as little as six weeks with official materials; a diagnostic test early on shows how much time you need.

What is a good GMAT score for European business schools?

Can I take the GMAT online in Europe?

Up to five times in any rolling 12-month period, with at least 16 days between attempts. Scores remain valid for five years.

How much does GMAT preparation with MBA Center cost?
