Shortlist

ESSEC invites selected candidates to interview.

Online interview, result and deposit

Then a deposit to secure your place. ESSEC asks for several essays, and candidates often find this the hardest part – our essay review and interview preparation are built for this.

Many of our Paris candidates apply to ESSEC and HEC Paris in the same season. Both are top French grandes écoles with strong MiM and finance programmes; ESSEC offers flexible track lengths, an apprenticeship route and campuses in Singapore and Rabat.

ESSEC admissions: frequently asked questions

When are the ESSEC Master in Management deadlines for 2027?

For 2027 entry, the ESSEC MiM online application deadlines are 7 October 2026, 26 November 2026 and 17 February 2027, each at 12:00 noon Paris time. A fourth round is still to be confirmed.

Which test do I need for ESSEC?

The ESSEC Master in Management accepts the GMAT, GRE or TAGE MAGE (and the CAT for Indian applicants), plus an English test such as IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 95 or TOEIC 850.

What is the difference between the ESSEC MiM Flexible and Intensive tracks?

The Flexible track lasts two to three years and suits graduates with little or no experience. The Intensive track lasts one year, is taught in Cergy and requires at least six months of managerial experience and ten weeks of study abroad.

What is the ESSEC SMIB?

The Master in Strategy & Management of International Business (SMIB) is a one- or two-year programme in Cergy and Singapore for graduates aiming for consulting, strategy or international management roles. QS ranks it #3 worldwide in its 2026 management masters ranking.

Is there an age limit for the ESSEC Master in Management?

Yes. ESSEC states that applicants to the Master in Management should be under 32 years old.
