Our Process

How we prepare your HEC Paris application

HEC Paris runs rolling admissions with two MBA intakes, January and September, and gives a decision within five weeks of each application deadline. HEC also introduced a 12-month format for January starters in 2025, alongside the 16-month programme. Our work follows HEC’s own six steps:

Connect and plan

We choose your intake (January or September), format and deadline, and build your test plan.

Complete application

Your Head Coach shapes your positioning; your Personal Coach, a published writer, works on your essays.

Pre-selection jury

Before you submit, our Pre-Admissions Committee, which includes former HEC admissions staff, reviews your file as the jury would.

Two interviews with HEC Paris MBA alumni

We run mock interviews in HEC’s format. Book interview preparation.

Admissions jury and decision

We help you respond quickly if HEC asks for anything more.

Scholarship decision

Every admitted MBA candidate can apply for HEC scholarships, which HEC says total over €1,000,000 a year; we help you prepare a strong scholarship case.

Comparing Schools

HEC Paris, INSEAD or ESSEC?

Many of our Paris-based candidates weigh HEC against INSEAD and ESSEC. HEC’s longer MBA leaves room for an internship and a bigger career switch; INSEAD’s one-year format suits candidates who already know their next step.

Your Team

Your HEC Paris team

Your application is managed by a Head Coach, a Personal Coach, an Editor and a Concierge who keeps every deadline on track. No consultant works with more than six candidates at a time. MBA Center was founded in Paris in 1993 by Dr Hubert Silly, a Sciences Po graduate who still advises candidates personally.
