Tests for MiM applications

Most top MiMs accept the GMAT or GRE. Some schools also accept their own or national tests, such as IE’s ieGAT or the TAGE MAGE used by many French business schools, and international programmes require an English test. FAQ

Master in Management admissions: frequently asked questions

What is a Master in Management (MiM)?

A MiM is a pre-experience business master’s for recent graduates with little or no full-time work experience. It covers the core of management and leads to careers in consulting, finance and general management. Many of the best-known MiMs are in Europe.

Do I need work experience for a MiM?

Usually not. MiMs are designed for recent graduates, so committees look at your academic record, internships, activities and motivation rather than years of full-time work.

Do I need the GMAT for a MiM?

Most top MiMs accept the GMAT or GRE, and some also accept their own tests (such as IE’s ieGAT) or the TAGE MAGE for French schools.

Which European business schools offer the best MiMs?

Our candidates have been admitted to MiMs at London Business School, HEC Paris, INSEAD, IE, ESSEC, ESCP, Bocconi and Imperial. The right school for you depends on your goals, budget, languages and where you want to work.

Should I choose a MiM or an MBA?

Choose a MiM if you are a recent graduate starting your career; choose an MBA once you have several years of experience and want to accelerate or change your career. Some candidates do a MiM first and an MBA later.
