Kellogg MBA Admissions Consulting

Kellogg’s application rewards candidates who can be the same person on paper, on video and in conversation. Kellogg offers six full-time MBA programmes, and you may apply to only one per year (you can name one alternate after submitting).

Kellogg admissions: frequently asked questions

What essays does Kellogg require?

One written essay of up to 550 words in two parts: the experiences and decisions that brought you to this point and why now is the right time for an MBA, and what you hope to contribute to your classmates. You also complete five video essay questions after submitting.

How do the Kellogg video essays work?

After you submit and pay, a link appears on your status page. You answer five questions, each with a brief moment to think and up to one minute to respond, with no retakes. The videos are due 96 hours after your round’s deadline.

What are the Kellogg deadlines for 2026–27?

Round 1 closed on 9 September 2026. Round 2 closes on 6 January 2027 with decisions on 24 March 2027, and Round 3 closes on 31 March 2027 with decisions on 12 May 2027.

What GMAT score do I need for Kellogg?

Kellogg has no minimum score. The Class of 2027 averaged 687 on the GMAT Focus Edition and 733 on the legacy GMAT. Kellogg accepts the GMAT or GRE from a single sitting and does not accept superscores.

How many recommendations does Kellogg require?

Two. Ideally one comes from your current supervisor and the other from someone who can assess your professional performance and leadership potential, such as a former supervisor or a client.
